we must interrogate and resist climate nihilism.
always return to the surface to fight.
        hold our responsibilities to collective,
unrelenting action close to our fists and chests.
embody the waves that curve as every sound
begins.

to take part in taking apart

tuning in to a creature chorus
a howl like an aleph
an awakening, unfurling siren
luring kindreds to take part in taking apart

honing on to the whisper howl
our actions are teeming still with whens
to sort signals in living webs
unsteady footholds
a farewell unending as the flames flicker and close swaying

the collective eyes always already like the strawberry squid
one for facing skyward and another for the depths
